The Furnace High School Ministry focuses on students grades 9-12 and their parents. We are a community of believers who are committed to loving God and sharing His love with others. Our purpose is to Know God,  Grow in God, Glorify God, and Share God throughout our community. We will do this by owning our commitment to the great commandment and living the great commission here on Maui, in the islands, and around the world. Come join us on Thursdays @ 7pm in the Youth Room!

If you have any questions or if you would like more information, please feel free to contact us!  Give us a call at the church office at (808)879-3853 and ask for Brandon. You can also email him at brandons@hopechapelmaui.com.

Who we are

“At the furnace we strive to have a community of faith where you are encouraged and challenged to love God and each other more. Come join the community and see what God might do in and through you as you commit to Christ and Christ-like community.”

Parents we love you!

Being a parent of a teenager can be one of the greatest joys and greatest struggles of your parenting career. The teen years are crazy, emotion-filled, and full of change. Students are entering one of the greatest changing periods in their life, they are changing physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually! These years can be tons of fun, but also full of new challenges for you as a parent and your child as a growing adult. It is our desire here at The Furnace High School Ministries to partner with you as parents to make these years a flourishing and thriving experience for you and your student. We want to be a resource and support system for you, as you experience all these years have to offer!

Please don’t hesitate to use us as a resource!

The Furnace small groups are about creating genuine community in which our students can get accountability, encouragement while learning more about God and themselves through the intense Bible study plan through student life. The goal of our small groups is that the students would be do-ers of the word and learn god’s great plan for their lives as they see how he used ordinary people throughout scripture to make an unordinary difference in this broken world.  Each year the small group curriculum builds on the last and yet enables anyone to attend if they had not previously. The plan also has a 48 week devotional that is intended to get them in the habit of time alone with God in prayer and study of his word. The books correlate with what is taught throughout the small group study so if on can not attend they can still stay on track more or less with the group. The goals of small groups are five fold….fellowship, learning God’s word, accountability, mentoring relationships, and encouragement. We think every student who is serious about growing in their relationship with God and being used by God, should make the time for a small group!
Here are the scriptural reasons why we do small groups at the Furnace…

Proverbs 1:1-7     1 Timothy 4:7-8      Heb 10:25      Acts 2:46-47
