THIS YEAR
AT HOPE.
Made New in Christ. Growing Together. Making a Difference
Lives changed. hope shared. faith in action!
Aloha Church Family!
What an incredible year we have had! Lives are being changed by the power of the Gospel as we remain focused on teaching the truth of God’s word. We're forming friendships and building community as we do life together. Hope and healing is happening through all our ministries and missions as we express our love for Jesus in service to others.
I heard someone say, “Gratitude is thanking God after it happens. Faith is thanking God before it happens!” I am filled with both gratitude and faith as I reflect on all we have experienced this past year and look forward to all God has in store for us as a church in the new year.
As 2025 comes to a close, I want to invite you to take a moment to join me in giving thanks to God for all that he has done. And I wanted to ask that prayerfully by faith, would you give towards God’s work here at Hope Chapel as we make an eternal difference in the lives of others here in Maui and throughout the world!
Better Together,
Ben

Growing Together
Life Change happens in community that’s centered on God’s Word. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
Acts 2:46
We're Better Together! The church family is the soil in which you are planted to grow to spiritual maturity. We are not meant to walk alone. The church family helps you center your life on Christ, get connected with other believers and grow. Together the goal is to bring people to Jesus and membership in his family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, and equip them for their ministry in order to glorify God.

Rebuild Hope Update
Since launching the Rebuild Hope granting program at the end of 2024, the goal of loving and caring for families and small businesses who experienced incredible loss in the Maui fires has been in full swing. A dedicated team of Hope Chapel members with diverse community experience (under the leadership of the Elders) have been working diligently to get to know each person who applies, how to best help, and bless these applicants with funds and spiritual support.
To date, we have been blessed to be a blessing to 48 individuals, families, and small businesses, distributing $275,340. We are still accepting applications for the program and we invite you to reach out to Eden Stewart if you or someone you know would qualify. Praise the Lord for this!
2025 Financial Report
We are so grateful for the incredible impact of the faithful givers of Hope, from the simple acts of caring for families in our neighborhoods, to sending teams of trauma counselors to pastors and church planters in sub-Saharan Africa. This year, we saw more ministry and missions happen than ever before, and the leadership and Elders thank those who so generously give to support the mission of Jesus here at Hope.
Like many churches and nonprofits, a large portion of our giving comes in the month of December, and with your generosity and partnership in the Gospel we will finish strong, meet our budget for 2025, and reach our over-and-above faith goal to support missions projects around the world in 2026. Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity! Here are a few financial notes:
-We entered December 2025 with a giving shortfall of $250,653 (as of December 1). Our budgeted giving for the month of December is an additional $218,000
-We have empowered more ministry this year than in years past, and spending is in line with our year-to-date target, even with radically increased costs and inflation (for instance, our insurance has gone up 31% this year!)
-Through our Kokua Fund, this year you have helped us give $97,389 to over 100 individuals and families
-Every year, we undergo a voluntary comprehensive audit- for more details you can review our 2022 and 2023 Audited Financial Statements here (our 2024 Audit is complete and currently being finalized, and will be posted when it is available)

GIVING HOPE TO THE WORLD IN 2026
As we close 2025, we have greater opportunity than ever to see the Gospel go out into the whole world. This year we have had the privilege of sending many short-term mission teams to support God’s work alongside our missionaries throughout the world, and each short-term team that goes out accomplishes specific goals and special projects unique to the ministry and region these global missionaries serve.
As we prepare for our year-end giving, the Elders have directed that in addition to finishing the year strong and on budget, we are setting a goal of $150,000 over and above our budget to finance these goals and special projects so that our short-term mission teams can bring greater support to the ministry projects and evangelistic efforts of our global missionaries.
With the participation of each of us, we are believing that we will meet our current giving shortfall, plus the remainder of December’s giving, to make budget this year and also reach this special over-and-above year-end giving goal to support our global missionaries.
Please join us in asking God how he would have you participate in the ministry of Hope Chapel through a special year-end financial gift.

After hearing the weekend message at church, Kate felt led to take an important step in her faith journey: baptism. Although she has been faithfully following God for the past year, she had never been baptized. Sensing that the time was right, she embraced the opportunity to make a public declaration of her faith in Jesus Christ and the transformation she has experienced.
When Jeff and Mandy were first encouraged to host an ʻOhana Group, they weren’t totally sure it was the right fit. “We were a little reluctant,” Jeff said, “but we felt the Holy Spirit nudging us, so we just said yes.” That simple yes ended up opening the door to a really meaningful year.

“The reward of obedience is incredible,” they share. “Saying ‘yes’ has brought new friendships, new purpose, and even drawn us closer together.”
These young athletes attended our Vertical Sports Summer Camp — and what we’re seeing here is the fruit of those seeds planted. This Little League team in Kihei took what they learned at camp and brought it into their own community.
Through Hope Chapel you support the work of Global Hope Network International (GHNI) in countries like Burkina Faso, a nation deeply affected by violence and terrorism. Burkina Faso has the dubious distinction of the country most affect by terrorism in the entire world. In the northern regions of this West African country, pastors and their families have suffered unimaginable loss at the hands of jihadists. Many have been chased from their homes, churches burned and loved ones taken hostage and killed. Earlier this year, a small team from Hope Chapel partnered with GHNI to lead a five-day trauma-healing conference for over sixty pastors and church leaders in need of healing and training.
