Hi, my name is Abbi! I’m from Ashland, Ohio, which is right in between Cleveland and Columbus. My family – including my mom and dad, an older sister named Hannah, who has a disability called Chromosome 18p- Syndrome, and a younger brother named Boaz – has shaped me so much. This summer I graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Studies and Youth Ministry. Throughout the past four years, I’ve learned a lot outside the classroom too! During my summers, I’ve interned with On Eagles’ Wings, a Native American Ministry, lived with a host family in the jungles of Costa Rica, and served as a Staff Discipler with Reign Ministries, sharing the gospel throughout Western Europe. As a student at Moody, I’ve also had the privilege of studying abroad in Israel for a semester and leading a floor of students in community as a Resident Assistant. God has used these years to stretch me, mold me, teach me, and ultimately to draw me closer to his heart. I love meeting new people, reading good books, eating ice cream, painting (with lots of colors), and shopping for antiques! I am simply overjoyed that the Lord has brought me to Hope Chapel as the Small Group/Missions Intern this year. Can’t wait to get to know you!
