Aloha Church Family,

I'm sure most of you are aware that Maui is beginning to open up!  Compared to other states during this pandemic we have been fortunate our Hawaiian islands have been impacted the least. So as Maui opens up I want to share with you our current plans for Hope Chapel.

We are continuing all our online services at our regular service times Sat 6pm, Sunday 8:30 & 10:30am.  We want to make the most of the opportunity to broadcast messages that bring the good news of Jesus across Maui and beyond!

Our plan is to meet in the courtyard the next two Sunday evenings May 31 & June 7 for prayer and worship and then we plan to start meeting on Saturday evening June 13 for an in-person courtyard service which will run concurrently to our online service. I am so excited for these opportunities to meet together to worship our Lord!

We understand that some are not yet ready to attend group gatherings and others with underlying health risks are strongly encouraged to stay at home or exercise extra caution. Please keep the following important points in mind:

  1. We will meet outside in the courtyard. This allows for the most accommodating and safe gathering spot at this time.
  2. We will have chairs set up according to the social distance guidelines and will request all families sit with your household only, and maintain 6 feet of distance between your household and the next household.
  3. We will have hand sanitizer available in touchless dispensers.
  4. We encourage face masks.
  5. Please keep 6 feet of distance when visiting as well.

Please stay at home if:
a) you feel the least bit sick b) have any underlying health concerns or are in the at-risk category c) have had contact with anyone who has tested positive for Covid-19 in the past two weeks. d) if you do not feel safe yet to meet together.

We understand that each one must prayerfully consider what is best for them during these times. The unity, love and health of the church family is our top priority as we navigate our in-person gatherings. We believe that with these precautions we can decrease the risk to any participant at our church as we prayerfully prepare for meeting together in person.

Better Together,
Ben
