Ikaika and Dori Hobbs serve as missionaries with Youth With A Mission in Maztlan, Mexico.  Ikaika, who is from Kihei and also Lucy Jim’s grandson, grew up going to Hope Chapel.  He joined Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in 2001 in Newcastle, Australia and was a part of pioneering the Youth Street ministry.  Shortly after that he went with a small group from YWAM Newcastle to pioneer a new base in Mazatlan, Mexico and has been there since 2003.  Dori is from Indianapolis, Indiana and did her Discipleship Training School (DTS), YWAM’s main training school, in 2005 at YWAM Mazatlan.  In 2006, Dori joined the YWAM Mazatlan staff and before long, Dori and Ikaika were engaged and married.  In October 2009, they were blessed with their first addition to their family, Koa boy!

Dori and Ikaika serve on the leadership team at YWAM Mazatlan, and are involved with the overseeing and developing of the community outreach ministries like Homes of Hope,  Remnant Skate, the Carnaval outreach and the Spring Break youth camp.  They play an active role in the discipleship of the young leaders in these particular areas and are passionate about seeing them reach their potential and beyond.  Much of their focus with the community outreach ministries is connecting with the local, national and international communities through partnering together in practical and relevant ways to see God bring transformation to Mazatlan.  Their heart is to see transformation in all ares of society, from the family and education to business and government.  Wherever God takes them and however He does it they are committed to seeing Mazatlan, Mexico and the Nations transformed.
