Beach Baptism Orientation
Date(s) - Mon 09/03/2018
8:30 am - 9:30 am
Kamaole Beach Park III
For all who are going to be baptized on this day, we ask that you come at 8:30am for orientation. Come to the large open grassy field on the south end of the park. You’ll find circles gathering there, which is our orientation for participants of the baptism. Our baptism is open to anyone that wishes to make a public confession of Christ!
Baptism is a symbol of one’s identification by faith with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. It is like a wedding ring-it is an outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart to follow Jesus. If you’ve accepted Christ and have never been baptized, you’ve waited long enough! It’s time you followed His example and His command to be baptized. Usually three times a year (on Presidents Day or Superbowl Saturday in February, Memorial Day in May and on Labor Day in September) we have a beach baptism celebration at Kamaole III Park beach in Kihei.
Hundreds from our congregation show up to join in the event, which involves singing, hula and then baptism in the Pacific Ocean. A potluck lunch follows, along with volleyball, swimming, and enjoying the beach. If you’d like to let us know you’d like to be baptized, please fill out the form below.
