Pathway to Spiritual Growth
Are you looking for and needing direction as to how to get started in your spiritual journey with God? Hope Chapel Church offers a clear pathway for your spiritual journey, development and maturity. It begins with expressing “repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ” (Acts 20:21), getting water baptized (Matt 28:19) and finding a place to fellowship and serve (Acts 2:42).

Fresh Start
Fresh start is for anyone who has accepted Christ into their life for the first time or recommitted their life to Jesus. These teachings from Pastor Craig will give you four vital ingredients necessary to grow in your walk with Christ. Click on the underlined title to begin your Fresh Start “Basic Training”.  If you have a friend you would like to direct to the Fresh Start teachings, pick up a Fresh Start card that includes instruction to go through the teaching online from our info table during our weekend services.

Baptism is a symbol of one’s identification by faith with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. It is like a wedding ring-it is an outward symbol of the commitment you made in your heart to follow Jesus. If you’ve accepted Christ and have never been baptized, you’ve waited long enough! It’s time you followed His example and His command to be baptized. Usually three times a year (on Presidents Day in February, Memorial Day in May and on Labor Day in September) we have a beach baptism celebration at one of our lovely beaches in Kihei. Video-Learn More about Baptism.

Alpha is a 10 week, practical introduction to the Christian faith. It is designed for those who want to explore Christianity in an open-minded setting, find answers to the big questions of life or simply reengage with their faith on a deeper level. Alpha is about building friendships with people, interesting conversations around a great meal, finding a place where you can ask perplexing questions, and sharing experiences and opinions that lead to greater understanding. Alpha is open to all people of all ages and backgrounds. The format is dinner, a short message, and discussion. There is no charge for the Alpha course-donations for meals and materials are accepted.

We believe that spiritual growth is integrally tied to a commitment to the Body of Christ and therefore we encourage the Hope family to be a part of a Small Group which we call “Ohanas”. These are designed to get people together so that they can become friends, grow into a support network, and share in the joys and struggles of life. Each home group is different, but you will normally find prayer, worship, fellowship, and teaching from the Bible. Click here to view our available small groups listing.
