DAILY DEVOTIONAL:

Brandon McAlister, one of our Children's Interns, leads us through a devotional in Hebrews 4 today. We can come confidently to Jesus in our time of need!

UNITED PRAYER:

Pray for the unity of the Church, that all believers in Christ would unite together despite differences in opinion, location, or even language. Pray that we would be a united beacon of light for all to see!

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." John 17:20-21 NIV

FAMILY RESOURCES:

10 fun family activities to "play it forward"

World Vision, an organization whose mission is to “go to the ends where no one else goes,” has compiled some great ways to teach kids about paying it forward. From learning about how other people around the world get water, to a “stone soup” recipe that comes with a story, check out this link for some amazing ways to teach your children about generosity!

BIBLE VERSES:

Let's read Job 38-42. In one of the most hopeless situations in the Bible, God spoke to Job. He knelt down and answered Job’s cry. Job’s response? Worship.

Then Job replied to the Lord:
2 “I know that you can do all things;
    no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
    Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
    things too wonderful for me to know.
4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
    I will question you,
    and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
    but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
    and repent in dust and ashes.”

God loved Job. He loves you too and wants to meet you! No plan of his can be thwarted!
